Jakarta Deputy Governor for Culture and Tourism, Marullah Matali, attended and opened the 2023 Jakarta Regional Cultural Development Index Evaluation Forum, Thursday (3/9).

The activity held at Grand Melia Hotel, Jalan HR. Rasuna Said, Kuningan Timur, Setiabudi, South Jakarta was attended by representatives from Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, representatives of Home Ministry, representatives of Culture Office and regional stakeholders, and partners of Jakarta Culture Agency.

According to him, it was aimed at discussing the Jakarta Culture Agency's initial draft work plan (Renja) for 2024. The preparation of the cultural development program and activity planning refers to 2023-2026 Regional Development Plan (RPD). It was also a form of preparation for the design of cultural activities after the State Capital (IKN) moves.

"It discusses the cultural development index in the Jakarta area in 2024. So, we have planned this year beforehand. But, the most important thing is that I really appreciate it because the ranks of the Culture Agency have prepared it well," he stated.

With careful preparation, the Jakarta Provincial Government would no longer be confused about making the concept when they held cultural activities next year.

If it was according to the plan from the central government that in 2024 Jakarta would no longer be the nation's capital, the city could prepare ourselves for the development of its culture. Especially regarding the reference to the regional development plan by the RPD.

He also advised to continuously embrace elements of society in the development of culture. Besides carrying out growth and development based on characteristics as a potential advantage in each region.
